WhatsApp Messenger service is working on a new model for business accounts: WhatsApp Premium. Now the company has announced the official launch. The subscription program offers companies various new functions, such as optimized accessibility for customers and improvements in the context of linking new devices.
What WhatsApp Premium Offers Businesses
First, you should check if you already have access to the plan by opening your WhatsApp settings. If you find a new section called “WhatsApp Premium,” you are eligible to join the Premium plan. If companies opt for a subscription to WhatsApp Premium – the fee for this may vary depending on the country – they will receive access to two new extended services, among other things:
User-Defined Business Link: The individual short link allows customers to open the company’s landing page and even start a conversation. Users can change the links every 90 days.
Improvements for linking multiple devices: Companies that subscribe to WhatsApp Premium can connect up to ten devices to their account, making it easier to manage conversations. This option is handy if several companies use the same WhatsApp account to send messages to their customers.
Access to WhatsApp Premium
WhatsApp Premium is an optional service that businesses can get for a monthly fee if they need advanced services. The previous WhatsApp Business features are thus available to all users, even without a premium subscription. Users can also cancel WhatsApp Premium at any time in the app or Play Store at the next billing time.
Accordingly, users who are satisfied with the available features for WhatsApp Business and do not want to pay for a subscription can continue to use their account as before. Users can find tips on how to get the most out of their business account in any case and also secure the green check mark for verification on WhatsApp here.
The model works with the latest beta versions of WhatsApp Business for Android and iOS. However, the premium model is currently only available for some testers in certain countries – users who do not yet have access to the premium plan will have to wait for future updates to use WhatsApp Premium.
